The Brief
DynaComware is the leading font developer in the Chinese, Japanese, and Korean market, which develops thousands of font types selling to both B2B and B2C customers. Our mission was to redesign and restructure the official site and online store for responsive web design.
Information Architecture

At our client's request, we focused on targeting their biggest marketplace, Japan. According to the data provided by our client, there were two main categories of customers from Japan that visited the website and purchased fonts.
B2C customers were attracted to unique fonts for graphic design or web design. The customers were usually bloggers, designers or design agencies. B2B customers were looking for embedded fonts or authority requirements for their services or products. The customers were usually schools, government organizations, game companies or OEM gadgets companies. The proportion of B2C to B2B customers was 7 to 3. In order to provide relevant information for different types of customers, we rebuilt the sitemap.
Wireframing

To increase revenue for the online store, we improved the payment process and provided more efficient ways to browse the huge amount of font types. For example, we proposed 2 different information structures of the online store's first page to discuss with our client. We tried to find the balance between business achievement and user experience.
Responsive Web Design
To make the website mobile-friendly, we had to define how to display the information for several screen sizes. We worked closely with the front-end engineers to ensure our designs could logically be implemented as well as satisfying the client’s requirements.
